A day of Rest

So after a long drive it was nice to wake up at grandma's house with the family. Merlova of course was the 1st one up in the AM around her usual 6:30 time. We got up slowly and were mostly together when we had early morning visitors. Uncle Robert, Matt, and cousin Aurora came by to visit with us. It was good to see them... after hugs, small talk, breakfast and playing around we decided to go over to Uncle Roberts to play and visit more. After all the driving the previous days we were not up to being back in the car and driving for very long. Robert, Mic, Vince, and Christine took off to see Julie in Indianapolis so we had a late afternoon of time with Matt, Pixie, Jenny, mom, David and the kids. Akorren, Aurora, Zhivanna, and Merlova + dogs spend the afternoon playing outside in the yard. Climbing trees, playing with the dogs, building imaginary houses, eating berries, and catching fireflies too. Being outside and not stuck in a car was such a break for the kids and yes it was warm outside but nothing like it is in TX at this time of year. We stayed until about 7:00 PM hoping to catch the rest of the family but we decided to leave so that we could get some rest and be ready to drive down to grandpa's house in morning for more fun and play. We all felt well rested and relaxed by the end of the day. Tomorrow we would get to see papa Clyde. The family at Mom's, kids hugging Uncle Matt, Akorren with his firefly collection, Zhivanna and sunflower, Merlova wants a picture too. (Aurora in background)
